Role Description:
As a Support Worker - Children and Families, you will play a vital role in providing support to senior Social Workers and management teams in delivering quality services to children and families. You will assist social work managers in providing quality social work services, undertaking tasks allocated by the Social Work Team Manager to support social workers in discharging their duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate family support, diversionary and respite services
- Sourcing appropriate family support services and other resources
- Collate essential information and report back to the Social Worker/Team Manager
- Assist with practical tasks such as transport for identified appointments
- Deliver advice and guidance on parenting tasks
- Support the delivery of contact services
Requirements:
- Experience working within Child & Family Care or with young people
- NISCC Registration
- 6-12 months previous Social Care experience essential
- Social Work Degree, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in a Health & Social Care discipline
- NVQ Level 2 with sufficient work-based experience also considered
- Valid UK Driving licence essential and access to a car for work
Salary and Benefits:
This is a Band 4 role with a salary of £12.86 per hour, offering full-time hours of 37.5 per week (part-time hours also considered pending experience). You will also receive premium evening and weekend rates if required, competitive mileage allowance, enhanced holiday package, employee assistance programme, full-funded enhanced training and e-learning opportunities.
