**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Support Professional to join our team at a North Tyneside SEND school.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with a wide range of abilities and needs, including those related to physical, medical, sensory, and speech and language challenges.

While prior relevant experience is preferred, enthusiasm and commitment are paramount. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with pupils, staff, and parents is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • To assist teaching staff with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a high-quality learning environment.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
  • To collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and teachers, to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working in a transferrable role, preferably within education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
