NHS Scotland is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, promoting equality and eliminating unlawful discrimination. Our goal is to create a truly representative team where each employee feels valued and empowered to excel.

We strive to provide a supportive environment for all employees, including those with disabilities, long-term conditions, or neurodivergent individuals. We achieve this by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment practices and policies.

Important Note: Due to the high volume of interest in this position, we may close the vacancy early once we receive a sufficient number of applications. We encourage applicants to submit their applications promptly to avoid missing this opportunity.

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is a leading teaching hospital, renowned for its commitment to delivering best practice in various specialist services. As a Pharmacy Technician in the Women's and Neonatal Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical services team at a ward level, focusing on patient-centered medicines management and site flow.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. You will work closely with the pharmacy and multi-disciplinary teams, supporting medication reconciliation, counseling, and discharge support. To succeed in this role, you must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, hold a certificate in pharmacy services (or equivalent), and possess an SVQ level 3 in pharmacy services. NHS Lothian offers a supportive and progressive employment environment.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
