About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiving Professional to join our team at FirstLight Home Care of Southern Maine. As a Companion Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation to clients, engaging them in activities and stimulating their minds
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring clients receive the sustenance they need to thrive
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment
  • Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation, helping clients maintain their independence
  • Engage clients in recreational activities, promoting physical and mental well-being
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the care and well-being of our clients

Requirements

  • Previous caregiving experience, with a passion for delivering high-quality care and support
  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care, with empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
  • Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written, and effectively manage the demands of the job
