About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Functional Skills Cover Tutor at HMP Norwich. As a key member of our prison education team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality training and support to learners, helping them to develop their skills, knowledge, and behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Functional Skills training to small groups of learners, ensuring that training plans are in place and that learners receive the guidance and support they need to achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with learners to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and develop tailored training plans to meet their needs.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting learner engagement and motivation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that training is delivered to the highest standards, and that learners receive the support they need to succeed.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Maths and English, or equivalent qualification.
  • Substantial experience of delivering training, preferably in a prison or education setting.
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners.
  • Desirable: teaching or assessing qualification.
