Driver (Bank) - Nuffield Health

We are seeking a Bank Driver to join our Hospital Sterile Services Unit Team in Papworth Everard, CB23 3GY, to work on an adhoc basis. As a Bank Worker, you'll be called on to provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays or increased workload.
Key Responsibilities- Driving our 7.5T vehicles across the South and East of England to collect and deliver medical instrumentation.
- Act as an ambassador for the unit being the first point of contact for customers.
- Ensure all tachograph records are maintained correctly.
- To receive and check delivery of medical devices from the customer.
- Good Record keeping following all Quality records in place.
- Managing own time according to Driver Regulations.
- Hold a full driving licence, including a C1 entitlement, which allows you to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
- Have basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation and preferably hold a Driver digital tachograph card.
- Be comfortable with manual handling - movement of transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg.
- A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
- Evidence of previous sterile services training is an advantage but not essential - full training will be provided.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, and basic computer literacy.
- Attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.
The role will involve working early morning/evenings and Saturdays, so applicants need to be flexible with regards to working hours.
Shifts operate between the hours of 02:00 - 21:00 Monday to Friday with varying shift times on Saturdays according to the requirements of the hospitals.
