Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Spanish language expert to join our team at Universally Speaking. As a Games Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the linguistic accuracy and correctness of in-game text and cultural rules.

About the Role:

  • You will be working closely with our development team to identify and report linguistic bugs and issues.
  • Using our optimized LQA process, you will ensure that games and applications provide the best user experience by being free from linguistic errors.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of indie to AAA projects, developing your expertise and specialization in localisation and QA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Linguistic bug testing and reporting using industry-standard bug databases.
  • Ownership of test cases throughout the project life cycle, including documentation and execution.
  • Collaboration with developers to ensure effective testing and support of project features.
  • Continuous improvement and knowledge sharing of LQA workflow and techniques.
  • Team working and communication.

Requirements:

  • Expert-level Spanish language skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Passion for video games and gaming culture.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills, including word processing, database handling, and MS Office.
  • Right to work in the UK.
