AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to support the world-class Orion Laser Facility.

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our electrical engineering team and deliver safe and reliable electrical operations across our Engineering & Science functions. Key responsibilities include applying engineering principles to analyse and design electrical systems, ensuring tasks and installations comply with regulations, and delivering conceptual designs, detail designs, manufacturing specifications, operational documentation, and validation evidence for electrical engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate will have HND or Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical discipline, or relevant proven experience, and a proven track record of delivering projects with a consideration for quality, time, and cost. Strong communication skills (written and oral), strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and good working knowledge of Excel are also essential. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing electrical maintenance activities, leading SME for all electrical systems within a set boundary, and coaching and mentoring staff to achieve appropriate levels of competency.
