We are currently seeking a Tutor for Young People with Special Needs to join our team at 1st Staff. As a Tutor, you will work closely with children aged 4-25 with special educational needs (SEN) in the Newark area.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of SEN and be able to create engaging and interactive learning experiences. This is a part-time or full-time opportunity, with most referrals requiring 10-15 hours per week. If you're enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and committed to making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver tailored learning experiences for students with SEN
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of our team's expertise and best practices

Requirements:

  • Experience working with a range of SEN
  • Ability to travel to students' homes, local libraries, or community centers (own transport beneficial but not necessary)
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
