NHS Fixed Term Consultant Radiologist (Breast)

Key Requirements

To be eligible for this post, you will need to have:

  1. A primary medical degree
  2. Full GMC registration
  3. The Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent
  4. Possession of CCT in Radiology or within 6 months of application for CCT
  5. Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Radiology
  6. Satisfactory completion of previous posts providing professional training in core radiology and CCT in Radiology
  7. Appropriate training in breast radiology
  8. A high level of clinical experience in general and breast radiology
  9. Evidence of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching

Additional Information

The post holder will be expected to provide sessions of breast imaging to the unit, which will comprise of 2-3 symptomatic one-stop clinics. Digital full field mammographic interpretation with breast tomosynthesis, diagnostic breast ultrasound with percutaneous FNA and core biopsy skills are mandatory.

Shared secretarial and office accommodation will be provided for the appointee.
