At Rec-Solutions, we're seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Design Specialist to join our team. As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for delivering complex electromechanical design solutions while collaborating with other teams to integrate assemblies into the mechanical envelope. Your exceptional soft skills and ability to communicate complex designs will be crucial in achieving success in this role.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 to £70,000 per annum, private healthcare, five weeks' holiday per year, pension, flexi-time, and relocation assistance. You will also be eligible for up to 15% bonus.

Job Description

Your primary focus will be on electromagnetic and thermal design, analysis, optimization, and testing. You will be empowered to take accountability for technical delivery, cost, timing, and other key program metrics within engineering development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing hand calculations and/or finite element analyses of dynamic and static systems
  • Discussing and resolving technically complex problems with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
  • Preparing and presenting designs for review to pass through a gated development process
  • Producing feasibility studies with accompanying designs based on sound engineering principles
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent or higher) in a relevant engineering field
  • Applicable mechanical/electromechanical engineering experience
  • Hand calculations and input from FEA in design with detailed application of GD&T
  • Extensive utilization of CAD Solidworks or similar and PLM systems
