We are seeking a highly skilled SEND Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Grandir UK's Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Wellingborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a culture of excellence in our nursery, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
- Assume key carer responsibilities for designated children, providing individualized support and care.
- Develop and implement rich and stimulating experiences tailored to the needs of each child.
- Prepare and support children's activities, fostering a love of learning and exploration.
- In the absence of the Team/Room Leader, maintain effective day-to-day management of the environment, ensuring continuity of care and education.
- Contribute to ensuring that our practice and provision meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Support and mentor students and unqualified staff, promoting high-quality childcare practice.
- Act as a liaison between parents and staff for children with SEND, providing expert advice and support.
- Advise and support other Nursery Practitioners regarding children with SEND, ensuring consistency and quality of care.
- Ensure that Individual Educational Plans are in place, and relevant background information is collected, recorded, and updated.
- Stay up-to-date with initiatives and best practice, ensuring our nursery remains at the forefront of SEND provision.
