Head of Studio Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Studio Management to join our team at Mac Recruit Group. As a key member of our studio management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day creative operations, ensuring smooth workflow and seamless collaboration across our creative and account management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage creative and strategic resourcing software to support the Design Director and Creative Strategy Director.
  • Collaborate with Client Account teams to ensure accurate scoping and approach to briefs.
  • Oversee resourcing and capacity planning, providing timely solutions to management challenges.
  • Source, brief, and deliver freelance creatives, supporting lead creatives and Client Account teams.
  • Assist in the development and training of Creative Team members, providing design execution support as needed.
  • Champion effective delivery within client platforms and systems, ensuring artwork and production meet client briefs.
  • Lead the creative delivery for marketing initiatives, including website maintenance, social content, and sales initiatives.
  • Mentor team members and support business management initiatives to achieve fiscal targets and foster a positive workplace culture.

Requirements:

  • Circa 5 years + experience in a similar role, with a strong background in studio management and creative production.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day studio operations, overseeing the workflow from strategy and concept to final design and artwork delivery.
  • Expertise in balancing internal resources and external freelancers/suppliers to meet deadlines on time and within budget.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC software and Mac OS, with the ability to provide technical support for artworking, file management, and production delivery.
  • Experience collaborating with senior creative leadership to ensure high standards in operational and production aspects of creative work.
  • Skilled in managing freelance creatives and external production partners across design, artworking, photography, and print production.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing remote creative teams.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, including experience with work planning, calendar management, and digital organization tools to streamline studio operations.

Benefits:

  • Up to £55,000.
  • Remote first approach to working, with offices in Edinburgh and London which you would attend a minimum of 1 day a month.
