Warehouse Cargo Operative Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Cargo Operative to join our team at LHR Cargo Terminals. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cargo Handling: Utilize hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo accurately, process paperwork in line with client requirements, and handle special cargo products with care.
  • Pallet Management: Build and break down pallets efficiently, perform manual handling tasks as required, and prepare and palletize cargo as needed.
  • Shift Flexibility: Be flexible to work both day and night shifts, including 4 on / 2 off and 4 on / 4 off rotations.
Requirements:
  • Employment History: Checkable 5-year employment history.
  • Certifications: Cargo Operative Certificate and Basic DBS Certificate.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
  • Warehouse Experience: We will consider all levels of warehouse experience, but you must be willing to learn and adapt to our dynamic cargo terminal environment.
