We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to a client in their own home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex care, including experience with seizures, PEG feeding, and administering medication.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to the client, including assistance with daily living tasks and mobility
- Administer medication and manage medical equipment, including gastrostomy care and PEG feeding
- Assist the client in the community, including accompanying them on outings and appointments
- Perform light housework and administrative duties, including managing the client's schedule and appointments
- Work collaboratively with the client's carer and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- At least 6 months of complex care experience, including dealing with seizures, PEG feed, catheter, and administering medication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care
- Enhanced DBS disclosure and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and dignity
- Willingness to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
- Competitive hourly rate of £16.15 for daytime shifts and £19.23 for waking nights
- Company pension scheme and enhanced bank holiday payments
- Annual leave paid at 5.6 weeks per annum, based on contracted hours
- Full support and supervision from a dedicated Regional Care Lead and local HCD Community Nurse Assessor
- Training and career pathway options, including a personal development plan and 24hr on-call support
