About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to a client in their own home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex care, including experience with seizures, PEG feeding, and administering medication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to the client, including assistance with daily living tasks and mobility
  • Administer medication and manage medical equipment, including gastrostomy care and PEG feeding
  • Assist the client in the community, including accompanying them on outings and appointments
  • Perform light housework and administrative duties, including managing the client's schedule and appointments
  • Work collaboratively with the client's carer and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of complex care experience, including dealing with seizures, PEG feed, catheter, and administering medication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and dignity
  • Willingness to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centred way
