Deputy Lead Nurse for Hospice at Home

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is seeking a qualified Band 6 Nurse to join their Hospice at Home team as a Deputy Lead Nurse. The successful candidate will provide clinical care to babies, children, and young people at the end of life within their own homes, giving parents/carers respite and support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to leadership, development, training, and planning for the Hospice at Home team.
  • Day-to-day line management of the team, including assisting in the appraisal and developmental reviews of staff.
  • Provide clinical care to babies, children, and young people at the end of life within their own homes.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RN (Adult branch)
  • Significant post-registration experience with children/young people
  • Experience as a Band 6 Nurse
  • Post-registration experience in children's palliative/end of life care
  • Experience of managing employees
  • Able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical care
