Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Pertemps Manchester. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe driving of HGV trucks to transport goods to designated locations
  • Following safety procedures when loading and unloading cargo
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips
  • Maintaining accurate driving logs and ensuring compliance with road regulations
  • Communicating with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries
  • Adhering to delivery schedules and following routes as planned
Requirements:
  • Experience as a HGV driver (6 months HGV licence and driving needed)
  • Valid commercial driver's licence (CPC)
  • Ability to drive HGV trucks safely and efficiently
  • Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
  • Good physical condition to load and unload cargo
Schedule:
  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift - Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
