About the Role

As a Security Shift Supervisor/Second in Command, you will be responsible for assisting the Shift Manager in managing all security personnel in relation to day-to-day operational issues.

You will be the nominated training lead on the shift and will have responsibility for ensuring all staff complete mandatory training, as well as delivering induction training and updating training matrices.

In the absence of the Shift Manager, you will provide a central point of contact for service delivery development, performance measurement, and centralized reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, coordinate, and organize shift training.
  2. Update training matrix for shift.
  3. Deliver induction training to all new employees.
  4. Deliver refresher training to shift, as dictated in the site training policy.
  5. Liaise with Operational Support and Training Department to organize all SIA top-up training for their shift.
  6. Collate weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual reports for Shift Manager, to support resource.
  7. Ensure all Focus Topics are completed monthly.
  8. Ensure mandatory learning is completed.
  9. Supervise and support the management and planning of resources.
  10. Assist with shift briefing.
  11. Assume the role of Shift Manager in the absence of a Shift Manager.

Person Specification

Minimum Required

  • Current SIA license: Door Supervisor and CCTV.
  • Have a full 5-year checkable work history.
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel, and E-Mail (Outlook).
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills. Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.
  • Adaptable and responsive in the face of changes in priorities, plans, and schedules.
