Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at HMP Winchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wooden structures, furniture, and equipment within the prison.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair wooden structures, furniture, and other equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete large-scale projects and improve overall facility conditions.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in carpentry, preferably in a similar environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in woodwork, including planning, measuring, cutting, and assembling.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
