About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team at Wellburn Care Homes Limited, responsible for ensuring high standards of general maintenance to our care homes and surrounding areas. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a good general knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, including basic plumbing, joinery, and household electrical fittings.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will have a keen eye to identify general maintenance work required to keep our homes safe and comfortable for our residents. You will be responsible for all minor repairs within the home, reporting defects, undertaking Health and Safety checks, and maintaining appropriate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our care homes and surrounding areas
- Identify and report defects, undertaking Health and Safety checks as required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth operation of our care homes

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A good general knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, including basic plumbing, joinery, and household electrical fittings
- Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise your own workload
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
