About the Role

Cafcass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Professional to join our team as a Family Court Adviser. As a key member of our Public and Private Law team, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children and families through the family court process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake direct work with children, gaining their views and wishes, and representing these to the court via written reports and giving evidence.
  • Advocate for arrangements that are in the best interests of the child(ren) involved.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, lawyers, and judges, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support.
Requirements
  • Be a Social Work England registered social worker with a proven track record of working with children and families.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Be highly organized, resilient, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a deep understanding of the family court process and the needs of vulnerable children and families.
