Job Title: Academic Accountant

Join our team at Yü Group as an Academic Accountant and contribute to the success of our Finance team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Accountant to join our team. As an Academic Accountant, you will be responsible for producing insightful information, driving performance, and improving results. You will ensure that we are in control and that all appropriate accounting tasks are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the monthly management accounts process, including sales ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare KPI analysis for inclusion in Board packs.
  • Manage and develop the Sales Ledger team, who are responsible for allocating receipts and processing customer refunds, as well as maintaining ledgers, invoicing, and crediting accounts where appropriate.
  • Support the annual audit and statutory accounts process.
  • Work with the Group Risk & Internal Audit Manager to ensure internal controls and procedures are operating effectively.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and analysis to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Academic Accountant who has:

  • Qualified - Fully/partly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • AAT Technician considered.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • A team player who enjoys working closely with a team to help them develop.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a changing workload.
