Faculty Position in Computer Engineering Technology

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our team in the Department of Technology. This tenure-track position will focus on teaching and developing undergraduate Engineering Technology courses in Computer/Electronics Engineering Technology.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop undergraduate Engineering Technology courses, including digital electronics, electronic devices, electronic circuits, industrial control systems, programmable logic controllers, embedded systems/micro-controllers, computer networks, and wireless communications systems.
- Develop partnerships with industry firms to ensure internships and field trips for students.
- Contribute to program and curriculum development.
- Advise/mentor students and participate in recruitment activities.
- Demonstrate self-motivation to engage with industry on applied research projects.
- Participate in ongoing assessment and accreditation activities.
- Perform scholarly activities and submit grant proposals for external funding to acquire financial support.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department chair.
- An earned Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- An earned Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- An earned B.S. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable track record of successful teaching and scholarship.
- Good communication skills; and a strong commitment to teaching excellence and ability to work collaboratively with others.
