Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimating Specialist to join our team at 3D Personnel. As a key member of our civil engineering team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects ranging from £500k to £20m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project drawings, contracts, and specifications to understand scope, materials, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to gather essential project information.
  • Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the project team to establish and monitor project budgets.
  • Attend regular project meetings for feedback and updates.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid packages, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and proposal documents for clients and subcontractors.
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations affecting civil engineering projects.
Requirements
  • Experience in producing winning bids for projects ranging from £500k to £20m.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and support multiple teams in various remote locations.
  • Proficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applications, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Auto-Cad Experience.
