Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Compass Learning Centre.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term position until 31/08/2025, with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will work between 32-37 hours per week over 5 days, term time including INSET days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 in a small-class setting.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences.
  • Promote inclusive practices and contribute to student safeguarding.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including English and Mathematics.
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours is desirable.
  • An understanding of positive behaviour management and ability to establish strong relationships with students.

  • A competitive salary scale: Grade 5-6, points 5-9 dependent on experience.
