Cedar is seeking a highly skilled VAT Manager to join our Tax Advisory team. As a VAT Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality VAT advisory services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on VAT issues, including property transactions, charity liability, and e-commerce taxation.
- Draft instructions to Tax Counsel on liability, structuring, and dispute matters.
- Manage VAT cases progressing to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) or tribunal.
- Conduct VAT reviews and due diligence assignments.
- Address VAT queries from clients and staff.
- Engage in technical writing and assist with webinars and similar activities.
- Assist with the management and development of junior staff.
- Undertake other ad hoc duties related to the role.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in VAT, including interactions with HMRC in an accountancy setting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- CTA qualification is preferred.
