Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to join our team in Hampshire, UK. As a key member of our microbiology team, you will be responsible for:

  • Culturing microorganisms and exposing them to various antibiotics for testing in our innovative iFAST system.
  • Monitoring and identifying microorganisms from clinical samples.
  • Contributing to the development of our tests for new types of bacteria and potentially other microorganisms, such as fungi.
  • Designing and executing test protocols to ensure our products meet clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and execute research investigations and experiments.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and the wider community.
  • Managing laboratory projects and collaborating with technical colleagues.
  • Working well in a team and managing workload with minimal supervision.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good degree in microbiology or a related subject.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a microbiology laboratory setting.
