We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team in our Additional Resource Provision (ARP). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students within the ARP, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Facilitate inclusion by helping ARP students integrate into mainstream classes where appropriate.
  • Assist with creating a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support students in developing their communication, social, and independence skills.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to reviews and meetings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within an Additional Resource Provision (ARP) setting is essential.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with students with SEN, including ASD and speech and language difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists.
  • Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
