Volunteer Mental Health Champion

Hfehmind is a leading charity dedicated to improving men's mental health outcomes. We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Volunteer Mental Health Champion to join our Men's Minds project in Hounslow. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to developing and delivering workshops and events that promote mental wellbeing among men.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should be passionate about mental health, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be comfortable engaging with people who have mental health challenges or difficult life experiences. Your ability to provide person-centred support, validate strengths and experiences, and use empowering language to overcome negative self-talk is essential. Additionally, you should be willing to tap into your own experiences and use your stories to inspire hope in others when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and delivery of workshops and events promoting mental wellbeing
- Contribute to peer-led support initiatives
- Provide person-centred support to individuals
We offer a competitive salary of £22,000 per annum, flexible working hours between Tuesday and Thursday, and reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses. You'll also receive an induction, training, and ongoing mentoring to support you in the role.
