Aberdeenshire Council is currently recruiting for IT professionals to provide customer-focused support for its IT services across the council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting desktop software and hardware, as well as systems and applications software.

As a key member of the IT team, you will work on the council's IT Service Desk, providing phone, webchat, and local site support.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain skills, experience, and knowledge in the world of work while pursuing a formal qualification.

To be eligible for this position, you must have achieved 3 Scottish National 4 or 5 qualifications or equivalent. This MA programme is open to candidates aged 16-19, with some exceptions for individuals with disabilities or care leavers up to the age of 29.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This post requires the preferred candidate to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. You will also be required to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable.

This fixed-term contract has a duration not exceeding 24 months.
