Pricing Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our team at Vermelo RPO, a rapidly growing company in the personal lines underwriting sector. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping our pricing models and contributing to the profitability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Pricing Strategies: Use advanced analytical skills to monitor our portfolio and deliver innovative pricing solutions.
  • Contribute to the Pricing Cycle: Work closely with the Underwriting team to develop and deploy tactical pricing initiatives, price optimisation proposals, and price change opportunity & impact analytics.
  • Support Risk Modelling: Collaborate with the Technical Modelling team to ensure peril risk cost models accurately capture product performance dynamics.
  • Deliver Pricing Roadmap: Contribute to the delivery of the pricing roadmap in line with the company's vision and long-term goals.
Requirements:
  • Personal Lines Pricing Experience: Previous experience in personal lines pricing is advantageous.
  • Predictive Modelling Techniques: Experience with techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering.
  • Statistical and Data Science Programming: Proficiency in languages such as R, Python, PySpark, SAS, and SQL.
  • Quantitative Degree: A good quantitative degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science.
  • Software Experience: Experience with WTW's Radar and Emblem software is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient at communicating results in a concise manner both verbally and written.
