Thegradcafe is a leading provider of heavy equipment solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide on-site diagnostic and repair services for our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our equipment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site diagnostic and repair services for heavy equipment, including Caterpillar products
  • Identify and requisition parts required for repairs, and determine expected delivery times
  • Undertake repair and service work on equipment to agreed work plans, and ensure machines are brought up to required standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

  • Apprentice-trained engineer or formally trained with NVQ Level 3
  • Heavy Earth Moving equipment operating knowledge
  • LDV driving license
  • Experience of a variety of construction and static machines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive relationships
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with strong analytical skills
