Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team based in Ely. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will provide contractor support, working on pre/post contracts up to final accounts for a range of main contractors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of projects across the residential/commercial sectors, with values ranging from £100k to £500 million. Our client offers a competitive package with 25 days holiday excluding the Christmas shutdown, Hybrid working and APC support available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out estimating services including BQ production
  • Carry out quantity surveying services
  • Provide the lead on commercial and financial advice
  • Provide procurement and contract advice
  • Maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management on projects worked on
  • Commercially manage and control SC packages on projects worked on
  • Assist in the protection of the Company's contractual position on projects worked on
  • Prepare final accounts

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a Contractor or PQS firm.
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction or similar.
  • Willingness to commute to Ely twice per week.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
