Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team at PlayStation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning and AI systems that enhance the PlayStation experience for hundreds of millions of users and creators.
You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver optimized interactions across PlayStation experiences and systems, leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning technologies. Your expertise in machine learning algorithms, software engineering principles, and big data stacks will be essential in driving the development and deployment of our machine learning products.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about AI and machine learning, has a strong track record of delivering large-scale commercial machine learning products, and is comfortable with ambiguity in projects. Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models and systems for high-impact consumer and enterprise applications.
- Work with a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning technologies, including computer vision, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.
- Implement the full machine learning development cycle, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI research and technology, and integrate relevant innovations into our products and services.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science, specializing in machine learning or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, with proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and PySpark.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial machine learning products from conception to production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity in projects.
- Expertise in a variety of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and computer vision.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Seldon, mlFlow, PySpark, Kubeflow, and Tecton.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases, RAG, and open-source LLM models.
- Experience with large-scale online customer-facing ML inference microservices.
- Experience with large-scale unstructured data manipulation and processing.
- Contributions to the machine learning community through publications, open-source projects, or presenting in conferences and workshops.
