About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Analyst to join our highly regarded Research team in a senior capacity. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in evaluating syndicate relationships, conducting due diligence on new opportunities, and delivering insightful research that supports business decision-making and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of major non-life insurance and reinsurance classes.
  • Evaluate and monitor syndicate performance through meetings and quantitative analysis.
  • Conduct due diligence on new Lloyd's syndicate opportunities.
  • Draft reports, presentations, and advisory notes for internal and client use.
  • Deliver internal and external presentations, sharing insights and recommendations.
  • Build effective relationships with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on market developments through independent research and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Strong quantitative skills, including financial statement analysis, underwriting development triangles, and catastrophe modeling.
  • Deep understanding of the non-life insurance/reinsurance sector and the Lloyd's market.
  • Proficient in managing the insurance cycle to deliver long-term returns for investors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting detailed reports and presentations.
  • Intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and adept at asking the right questions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Highly motivated, with strong time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
