We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Officer to join our team at Vertex IT Solutions Ltd. As a Governance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective governance of data and analytics within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all operational requests are logged and reported in a timely manner, including end-user reporting of exchange usage and third-party contract requirements.
  2. Operational Management: Manage operational requests, including Metastorm M2M, HDB, ICR, NDR, SCR, and UAR.
  3. KPI Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for data quality, operational performance, risk reporting, and other identified areas.
  4. Committee Support: Ensure all Terms of Reference (TORs) for Data & Analytics committees are up-to-date, and minutes are taken and recorded on Confluence.
  5. Vendor Management: Be the point of contact for vendor on-boarding, periodic vendor reviews, and market data usage reviews.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with Risk, Compliance, and Legal partners to ensure regulatory compliance and contractual limitations.
  7. Subject Matter Expertise: Be a subject matter expert on contractual and regulatory limitations, advising Data & Analytics Dev and Operations staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous work in the financial markets is essential.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
