Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at PRS. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cost and commercial aspects of various projects and task orders issued against our service contract.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Pre-Tender Estimates/Cost Planning: Develop and manage pre-tender estimates and cost plans for projects, ensuring accurate and realistic cost projections.
  • Commercial Interface: Lead the commercial interface with clients and other consultants, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Tender Management: Compile and manage tender packs, including the review of tender returns and cost alignment to ensure compliance with tender documentation.
  • Contract Administration: Manage the administration of contracts, including the preparation of contract recommendation reports, activity schedules, and final accounts.
  • Cost Control: Develop and implement cost control strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors, and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or equivalent role.
  • Strong commercial and cost management skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and systems, including NAV cost control system.
