We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Children Home Manager to lead and manage our small, warm, and welcoming Children's Home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As a Registered Children Home Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Children's Home, ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, providing supervision, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and expertise required to meet the needs of children and young people.
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individualised care and support that meets the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support provided, making recommendations for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Collaborate with external agencies, including social services, education, and healthcare providers, to ensure seamless support and care for children and young people.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staff, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective management of finances.
- Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment, promoting the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of children and young people.
Requirements:
- 3 years' experience working with children in the last 5 years and at least 1 year at senior level.
- Supervision or management experience.
- Working with children, young people, and their families.
- Work in a residential setting.
- Inter-agency work.
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
- Experience of managing a Children's Home.
- Enthusiastic, committed, and ambitious.
- Full driving licence.
