We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a High Intensity CBT Therapist. As part of East London NHS Foundation Trust, you will be working in a dynamic and innovative service that provides a stepped care IAPT service.

Job Overview

This role is perfect for individuals who want to work in a supportive environment with access to peer support, high-quality supervision, and CPD opportunities. The post holder will provide high-intensity cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in line with NICE guidance, valuing training and qualifications in other high-intensity therapies.

Main Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality Step 3 interventions for clients presenting with moderate to severe depression and anxiety disorders.
  • To deliver therapy groups.
  • To work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters where necessary.
  • To carry out telephone assessments.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications, including HCPC registration as a Counselling or Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Therapist/High-Intensity Therapist. Additionally, they should have experience in providing supervision for CBT, meeting agreed service targets, and managing their own caseload and time.

Key Skills and Competence
  • Full range of skills and competencies as laid out in the competence framework for CBT (Roth and Pilling 2007).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £40,227 per annum, reflecting the job's requirements and location within East London. This figure serves as a guideline for both candidates and the organization.
