Electrical Manufacturing Support Specialist

Salary: Up to £44,000 + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Determine and set engineering priorities in collaboration with line managers to optimise plant performance.
- Ensure all engineering activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Allocate resources and materials effectively to ensure maintenance schedules are met on each shift.
- Monitor engineering teams and contractors to ensure work is carried out to plan.
- Manage staff training and development to create a safety-conscious and technically competent workforce.
- Lead initiatives to improve engineering practices and plant performance, serving as the key electrical expert for the team.
- Prepare and submit minor capital and major maintenance proposals to ensure plant availability and performance improvements.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out system to support fault resolution and breakdowns.
You should have a solid practical background in electrical engineering, with relevant experience in a supervisory role. You should also have knowledge of electrical safety and safe systems of work, design of electrical systems, PLCs and SCADA systems, digital drives and motor control, distribution systems and switching, and electronic systems such as load cells and tensiometers.
