Senior Systems Integration Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join our team within Collins Aerospace Electronic Controls and Motor Systems, Solihull.
As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the system integration and verification of Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems. You will define and document the test requirements, own the complete integration plan, provide input to project planning, and manage system integration along with HW/FW/SW teams.
Key Responsibilities
- System Integration Planning: Review of system architecture and definition of Integration strategy, definition of test requirements, and ownership of complete integration plan.
- Integration Test Setup: Creation of instrumentation list based on expected testing, ownership of test equipment and instrumentation equipment BOM, and design and specification for required ancillary test equipment's.
- Integration Execution: Management and supervision of system integration along with HW/FW/SW teams, recording of data, and writing of integration reports.
- System Verification Planning: Work with systems lead engineer to define requirements means of compliance, populate requirements database with verification attributes, and definition and management of verification plan.
- System Verification Tests: Writing of test procedures, leading of test readiness review, execution of dry and formal runs, documentation and analysis of results, and writing of reports.
- System Verification Evidence: Review of all verification evidence against requirement and defined means of compliance, population and tracing of verification evidence to requirements database, and support of consolidation of system declaration of performance.
- Process and Continuous Improvement: Guarantee of adherence to company procedures, identification and communication of best practices, identification of opportunities for process improvement, and leadership of change.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Relevant verification experience in motor drive systems, preferably in aerospace.
- Good understanding of systems engineering technical processes.
- Working in configuration controlled environment (problem reporting, change requests).
- Experience with requirements definition and requirements management in IBM DOORS.
- Proactive, high-energy, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to tackle difficult and complex issues.
- Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge of project management and ability to manage small projects or processes.
- Good communication and IT skills.
