Electrical Field Service Engineer Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, performing routine maintenance and repairs on installed systems, and ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work on varied industrial sites, predominantly around the UK and Ireland, to complete Electrical, Control and Instrumentation site-based inspections and perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on installed systems.
  2. Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering timely solutions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and acting as a reliable service engineer.
  4. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of service visits, technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions.
  5. Travel to customer sites as required, often on short notice, to perform maintenance and repairs, with flexibility in travel schedule essential.
  6. Adhere to the SHEQ & regulatory regimes.
Requirements:
  1. HNC (or equivalent experience) qualification in a suitable engineering discipline, ideally with a focus on Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  2. Proficient in using Windows, Gmail, Word, Excel.
  3. Multi-skilled background - electrical, mechanical, controls & instrumentation.
  4. Valid driving licence - preferably clean.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Proven track record of field maintenance experience - preferably in the industrial sector.
  2. Ability to use Salesforce.
  3. IPAF Certificate.
Remuneration:
  1. Salary: £38,000 - £40,000, plus o/t. On-call allowance, once passed initial Service Level 1 training.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
  2. Probation period: li>
  3. Holiday: 23 days annual holiday + bank holidays - with 3 days being automatically allocated to the Christmas week. This rises to 27 days with service.
  4. Pension: 8% non-contributory, upon successful completion of probation period. There is also the option for voluntary contributions by salary sacrifice.
  5. Life Assurance: 2 x gross basic salary.
  6. Annual profit share scheme in place - not guaranteed.
  7. All relevant IT, mobile phone etc. will be provided for home office setup - a good home broadband connection is vital for this.
  8. Company vehicle provided (Likely brand new lease van for this role), (a car derived, Peugeot Asphalt).
