**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Study Skills Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide personalized learning support and academic guidance to students with SpLDs, helping them to develop independence, build on their strengths, and create strategies for success.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students with SpLDs
  • Help students develop strategies for organization, time management, and research skills
  • Support students in creating action plans to stay on track with their studies
  • Collaborate with students to identify and build on their strengths and learning strategies
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries in all interactions with students

**Requirements:**

  • Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students

**Desirable Skills:**

  • Experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
