Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team at Bicester Community Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our rehabilitation and complex discharge services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support ward staff in their day-to-day work and development, promoting interdisciplinary team working.
  • Provide information, training, and support to promote effective patient care and discharge from the ward area.
  • Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants and peers to ensure a high standard of patient-centred care.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and auditing of standards of care in the ward area.
  • Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure key issues are shared across the ward team.
  • Manage resources effectively and work proactively as the ward and bed coordinator to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Be visible and accessible to patients, relatives, and colleagues to work effectively within the team.

Person Specification

  • Current NMC RN Level One or due to qualify following completion of University degree.
  • Evidence of ongoing development and education.

Desirable Criteria

  • Teaching course and experience.
  • Community experience.
  • Familiarity with clinical supervision.

Skills and Abilities

  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
