Role Overview:
As an experienced Electrical Shift Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site in Birmingham. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to carry out routine maintenance checks and tasks, working closely with production teams to maintain efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily preventative maintenance checks on electrical systems.
  • Work alongside production teams to identify areas for improvement and report findings.
  • Take ownership of specific areas within the facility and understand their operational requirements.
  • Document and complete tasks promptly, ensuring all work is accurately recorded.
  • Serve as a point of contact during maintenance activities, providing timely updates and information.
  • Participate in projects to optimize efficiency, reliability, and safety across the site.


Requirements:
  • HND/HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in heavy industry, including 3-phase control systems and fault finding.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, isolation procedures, and hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to self-organize and prioritize work.


We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package.
