About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Inpatient Mental Health Services at various locations across Lancashire & South Cumbria. As a Bank Nurse, you will have the flexibility to choose when and where you work, making this an ideal opportunity for those seeking a more flexible work-life balance.

Main Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs for patients with mental health conditions. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, person-centered care that is focused on recovery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least six months of experience working in an inpatient mental health setting. You must be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration and have completed a Band 5 preceptorship program. You will also need to have a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Care Programme Approach.

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse - Mental Health / Learning Disability
  • Completion of Band 5 preceptorship program
  • On-going registration with the NMC

Essential Knowledge

  • Understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Care Programme Approach
  • Working knowledge of physical health conditions and their complications

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs
