Make a Lasting Impact on River Health
The South East Rivers Trust is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to lead our work in two catchments across the south east of England.
The Role
As a Catchment Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to improve river health, working closely with local stakeholders and partners to identify and address key issues.
You will bring your expertise in land management, wetland design, aquatic biodiversity, or a related field to our Catchment Partnerships, sharing your knowledge and experience to drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and chair local Catchment Partnerships to develop and implement catchment plans
- Conduct data and evidence gathering to understand issues impacting river health
- Work with partners to develop and co-design solutions and mitigation projects
- Share your expertise across the organisation to drive positive change
Requirements
We are looking for a natural leader and good communicator with relevant technical knowledge, who is personable and diplomatic with a passion for the water environment and its improvement.
This role will predominately cover the Loddon, Cuckmere and Pevensey Levels catchments.
