Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client's busy team in Stourbridge. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will contribute to the smooth running of the business.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate quarterly management accounts.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, including invoice factoring accounts, and ensure accuracy.
  • Financial Analysis: Reconcile purchase ledger and sales ledger, and maintain a fixed asset register.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage VAT returns and associated HMRC compliance.
  • Payroll Administration: Collate wages for the external payroll provider.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee all accounts functions, including management of CIS tax and payment of suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Experience of Sage 50 and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
