About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Practitioner Psychologist to join our team at With You. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our initiative to address underlying trauma and psychological issues within our drug and alcohol services.

As a Lead Practitioner Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group, working closely with our team to develop and implement effective psychological interventions. Your expertise in CBT and motivational interviewing will be invaluable in helping our clients overcome their challenges and achieve positive outcomes.

We are looking for a compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for developing skills and supporting others in the delivery of psychologically informed work. You will receive regular clinical supervision and professional support from a more senior Practitioner Psychologist in substance use, and will be encouraged to develop your clinical skills and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients with complex needs
  • Develop and implement effective psychological interventions, including CBT and motivational interviewing
  • Supervise and support the practice of psychology staff, including practitioner and assistant psychologists
  • Contribute to the development of our organization's psychological services, including the design and delivery of training programs
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless care and support for our clients

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology, or equivalent
  • Completed training course in clinical supervision
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, with evidence of continuing professional development
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a practitioner psychologist, including experience of working within the substance misuse field
  • Advanced training in an evidence-based psychological therapy for substance misuse
  • Experience of supervising the practice of psychology staff
