Job Description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Hinckley area, requiring multiple Class 2 drivers to join their team.

Salary: £15.28 per hour PAYE

Job Type: Ongoing

Location: Hinckley (LE10)

  • Operate a Class 2 delivery vehicle to make scheduled deliveries and collections for customers safely.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to complete around 60 drops per day, considering traffic, road conditions, and time constraints.
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers during deliveries and collections.
  • Handle packages with care to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation for each delivery and collection accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including securing loads and wearing appropriate safety gear.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery progress and potential delays.
  • Assist with loading and unloading packages onto and from the delivery vehicle.
Requirements
  • Have at least one year's experience with a relevant licence (Category C).
  • Hold a valid and up-to-date Digital Tachograph card.
  • Have no more than six points on your licence (minor offences only).
  • Understand WTD legislation fully.
  • Prior experience within a similar role is essential.
  • Be able to handle physical tasks, such as manual handling of heavy parcels.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with the transport team.
  • Familiarity with local routes and areas is a must.
  • Be hard-working, reliable, and flexible for hours.
